Poland’s Play expands its TV packages offering with the addition of four TVP thematic channels featuring factual, kids and culture programming.
The four channels include TVP Info, TVP Kultura, TVP Sport, TVP Nauka and Alfa TVP.
TVP Info provides follows current global political, social, economic and cultural events, agency reports and news from Internet portals 24 hours a day.
TVP Sport showcases EURO and the World Cup, Nations League, Champions League and Europe, Coppa Italia and the King’s Cup and Ekstraklasa. Championship events in the summer Olympic disciplines also feature on channel, such as, volleyball, basketball, handball, cycling, boxing, rowing and tennis (WTA series). TVP Sport also provides programming centred on winter sports like ski jumping and cross-country skiing as well as ice hockey (including NHL).
TVP Kultura is the first thematic channel of Telewizja Polska, dedicated to cultural topics, from film to journalism, from visual arts to theatre in Poland.
The factual channel TVP Nauka focuses on nature, technology and space technologies, biology, medicine, astronomy, physics, mathematics, chemistry, ecology, economics and social sciences.
While Alfa TVP is aimed at mainly to children and teenagers aged 10 – 16. The channel houses content tailored to the needs and interests of teenagers to discover and develop passions, shape relationships and function in a group.
TVP Info will be available to all subscribers of Play NOW mobile TV and Play TV services with a set-top box. TVP Sport will enrich the offer of Telewizja Max and Sport Package in Play NOW TV and Sport Package in New Generation Television. In turn, the TVP Kultura, TVP Nauka and Alfa TVP channels will be available to all subscribers of television services with a set-top box.
The two newest TVP thematic channels: TVP Nauka and Alfa TVP will also be available to existing UPC customers from the Start HD package.
