Amazon Prime Video has reinforced its commitment to the competitive Nordic market by announcing a slate of 12 new unscripted reality and entertainment series coming to its streaming service in the region this autumn.
Amazon said the 12 new additions are part of Prime Video’s commitment and long-term investment in the territory. The titles will be included in the Amazon Prime membership, available for SEK59 a month.
The productions include the franchise LOL: Last One Laughing, that is expanding to Denmark and Norway with local comedians and guest appearances. For Sweden, the format has been renewed for a second season.
Other series include Norwegian docu-reality series Girls of Oslo, with the influencer lineup of Sophie Elise, Isabel Raad, Nora Haukland, and Anniken Englund Jørgensen; and Swedish reality shows Parneviks All In! and Bingo & Julia.
Subscribers in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark will also be able to view second seasons of the influencer survival format Good Luck Guys, and the practical-joke series Pranked.
The latest Nordic Originals announced today will join series including Nordic Original The Bridge, Pranked Season One, and Good Luck Guys Season One, as well as Global Original series including Citadel, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Daisy Jones & The Six, Reacher, and The Boys.
“These familiar faces, places, and stories give further breadth and depth to our growing local slate and alongside our global original content further builds out Prime Video as a premium entertainment destination that our customers love. We are very excited to continue our investment in new and returning formats in the Nordics,” said Martin Backlund, managing director, Prime Video, Nordics.
