A1 Group restructures management board

 

A1 Telekom Austria Group has restructured the management board with the appointments of Alejandro Plater and Thomas Arnoldner.

Starting September 1, Alejandro Plater will become chairman of the management board with Thomas Arnoldner becoming deputy chairman. The A1 Group Management Board will then consist of two members.

Both board members will be appointed for three years including an extension option for another two years.

Former CFO Siegfried Mayrhofer who announced he is stepping down and will leave the company  at the end of August 2023 is succeeded by Sonja Wallner. She will become CFO of A1 Group from September 1 alongside her role as CFO of A1 Austria which she has served as since 2015. In her new role as CFO she will report directly to Plater as new CEO.

Arnoldner said: “The digital infrastructure is an essential location factor and guarantees our competitiveness and prosperity in the future. I am pleased to be able to continue to actively shape the digital future and to continue the growth course of the last five years. A1 Group is on solid financial footing and since 2018 has halved its leverage, increased its revenue to over €5 billion and increased its annual profit by 260%.”
