BritBox International names North America marketing chief

British international streamer BritBox International has named former HBO aned Warner Media exec Diana Pessin as SVP of marketing, North America and group marketing services.

Pessin will lead and manage marketing functions across the BritBox International business, and will also lead on the development of future branding propositions and launches, the outfit said.

She will report to Robert Schildhouse, EVP, BritBox North America and general manager, group marketing services and will be part of the business’ senior global leadership team under CEO Reemah Sakaan. She joins the company after its recent announcement that it had reached a global milestone of over three million subscribers across its markets in the US, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

BritBox International Marketing leads in London and Sydney will partner with Pessin, with a dotted line into her, to build overall brand and creative strategy, annual marketing activity, media plans and global tentpole launches.

Pessin joins BritBox after a short time as a consultant, sharing her expertise in brand management, e-commerce, digital media, subscription, and performance marketing. Prior to this, she was at HBO/HBO Max/Warner Media for nearly 20 years, where she held a variety of roles in the direct-to-cosnumer space including, building out e-commerce capabilities for their consumer products business, then launching and leading the acquisition and lifecycle marketing for HBO Now. Most recently, she served as SVP, media strategy audience and marketing analytics
