KAON, 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) and Green Streams target tier 2 and medium-sized operators with a new end-to-end IPTV and OTT service platform.
The market-ready product enables the clients to rapidly and economically deliver aggregated video services based on Google’s operating system Android TV as well as all relevant multiscreen platforms, according to the three partners.
The platform comprises Green Streams’ TVaaS backend platform, the KAON Netflix certified set-top box and 3SS’ UI/UX platform, based on the 3Ready product framework. Other vendors are as well pre-integrated, for example for personal recommendations or advanced QoS/QoE analytics.
Green Streams was co-founded in 2021 by industry veteran Gernot Jaeger to deliver a flexible IPTV and OTT backend platform that integrates deeply and smoothly with partners for key components such as frontend applications, metadata, recommendation or QoS/QoE analytics.
The 3Ready Custom Launcher – driving next-gen Android TV Operator Tier services for more than 15 providers on set-top boxes, dongles, smart speakers and TV sets, reaching over 35 million homes worldwide – enables an advanced user experience for the joint service platform.
The 3Ready-powered UI/UX comes with key functions such as live TV, replay, timeshift and catch-up. At any time, the operator can choose to implement additional levels of customisation.
The result of this collaboration is an affordable and flexible end-to-end service platform that accelerates time-to-market, enabling operators to begin attracting subscribers for their new Android TV services and generate revenues earlier.
