Romania’s RCS&RDS (Digi) ended the second quarter with 5,271,000 pay-TV subscribers.
This, according to its parent company Digi Communications, was 6.3% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, its broadband subscriber total rose by 11.9% to 3,965,000.
Digi Communications, which also has operations in Spain and Italy and a presence in Portugal and Belgium, had a total of 19,389,000 RGUs as of the end of Q2, up 15.3% on a year earlier.
The group’s consolidated revenue grew by 19.1% in Q2 of 2022 to € 370.4 million. Adjusted EBITDA marked an increase of 6.8% year-on-year, up to €120.5 million. Adjusted EBITDA grew by 10.4% to € 100.9 million.
Commenting on the results, Serghei Bulgac, CEO of Digi Communications, said: ”Digi Group delivered strong results in the second quarter of 2022 with positive performance achieved in all our markets. We continued expanding our customer portfolio and revenues across mobile and fixed services segments, while facing a challenging economy and uncertain international environment.
