DU to launch free to air HD DTH on 7W TV satellite


The TV operator of the United Arab Emirates announced its new free to air HD DTH service, on the 7W orbital position via CABSAT 2017. The new free to air HD Dth service is meant specifically for HD channels thus the DU platform will gain markets growth with large and free to air (FTA TV) channels including regional and international TV channels.

With this addition of new FTA DTH service, DU became one of the largest DTH capacity providers for accessing HD channels. Now in its 22nd year, CABSAT is the largest communications event and satellite broadcasting in the region, serving as a global platform for regional and international companies active in the Middle East and North Africa market.

Du to focus on the expansion of its available capacity on 7W satellite with the new DVB-S2 transponder to offer more free to air, FTA mode HD content without any limitation.
