Tricolor TV joined the satellite TV operator in Russia to move to OTT. The operator of the Russian Pay TV Tricolor TV has launched its first non-linear multi-screen offer, Kino Tricolor TV.
The Pay TV operator has agreements with online video streaming services Tvigle, Tvzavr, broadcasters and OTT service provider to provide content to the service.
All movies and TV series in the Kino Tricolor TV are in HD format and the service can be accessed with the Internet connection through broadband internet service and internet via mobile devices.
Tricolor had already created an online portal with information on television, cinema, fashion, sports, and digital technologies. The portal, Tricolortvmag.ru, was online at the end of the last year and recorded 2.9 million visitors so far. The group has launched a mobile version of the service with its own application for iOS and Android devices, including the ability to display content offline.
CEO Alexey Kholodov said that Tricolor TV could not be considered a satellite television company, but as an entertainment provider and information in all digital media.

The CEO of Orion Express, Kirill Machno, told Russian media that his company is going to launch an online film service before the end of this year. Machno told Orion already to test the service and to be launched with a partner, rather than negotiate directly legal agreements.
